What is Comfortech Idol?

Comfortech Idol is an annual competition between HVAC Residential and Light Commercial Replacement Sales Professionals, held at HVAC Comfortech.

Comfortech Idol is a serious competition among serious, trained HVAC sales professionals.  It's not for the feint-of-heart.  It's not for people who think that salesmanship is snappy answers and telling jokes.  Comfortech Idol is not a joke.

Come watch Comfortech Idol if you want to see real HVAC sales professionals show their best objection-handling techniques.

Why is it called Comfortech Idol?

The competition is loosely based on the popular hit television show, "American Idol."

How does the contest work?

Three finalists, who made it past the "Elimination Rounds" (see below), will role-play in front of a live audience of hundreds of HVAC professionals.

How is the winner selected?

Like the popular television program, the judges do not actually vote or determine the winner.  The live audience votes on the contestant they believe best exemplifies the highest standards in HVAC replacement sales.

How are the "finalists" selected?

You qualify for the finals by winning an "Elimination Round."  There are two "Elimination Rounds" to choose from.  You need not compete in both.

The "Elimination Rounds" are open to the public and other contestants.

What's it cost to enter?

There is absolutely no charge to enter or watch Comfortech Idol 2006, however, you must purchase a full admission and attend HVAC Comfortech 2006 to participate.

Who is qualified to enter?

Anyone actively involved in the direct selling of residential and light commercial HVAC replacement equipment.

How do I enter?
